Portable infrared flue gas analyser using NDIR sensors.
Photon gas analyser is a device built using the newest technologies, it uses the most recent techniques and methods available in the gas analysing field. The analyser is built based on a highly efficient PC-104 class computer and it is equipped with a VGA touchscreen (640 x 480). The analyser's operating programme works under Windows CE 5.0 operating system, which allows connection of USB devices, such as flash drives, keyboards, mouse, printers. Photon is an infrared flue gas analyser using NDIR sensors as the main measuring method. The infrared flue gas analyser can also be fitted with electrochemical sensors for other gases. The modular construction of this portable infrared analyser allows it to be configured to suit virtually all wishes from the user. The sensor ranges can also be chosen to exactly suit the measuring operations required. In addition, the infrared analyser is fitted with a range of inputs and outputs, to guarantee that measuring data can be transferred and documented with ease. The analyser can thus also be used for a range of control functions.

Measurement of gas concentration
  • The following gases can be measured using NDIR technology (max. 6): CO, CO2, CH4, NO, SO2, NO2, N2O

  • O2 concentration is measured using an electrochemical sensor.
  • O2concentration using partial pressure sensor -option
  • O2 concentration: measured using an paramagnetic sensor - option

Measurement of further parameters:

  • flue gas and ambient temperature measurement .Thermocouples supported: K, J, S, E
  • Pressure, draught, and differential pressure measurement with a resolution of 0.1 Pa.

Calculations

  • CO2 concentration if no CO2 sensor is fitted.
  • Calculation of all relevant combustion parameters.
  • Calculation of absolute and relative mass concentrations for the measured gases
  • Calculation of absolute and relative volumetric concentrations for the measured gases
